„More than just water!“ is the motto of the bathing lake in Issing. And justifiably so, because it offers not only fresh water for hot summer days, but it is considered also as one of the last pond biotopes in South Tyrol – and therefore as unique and holistic nature experience.

The pond is located at about 1,000 m above sea level in Issing, a small locality that is part of the sunny village Pfalzen. In spite of the great variety of animals and plant you don’t have to worry that they contest your swimming place. Far from it! In fact the natural, well-kept ambience renders the special nature experience possible.

Pure nature is very important for the pond and its environs: The refreshing water is best spring water that elates biologists due to its quality and purity and is considered as very stimulatory. In the water there are no artificial substances and also the lawns are dunged only with natural additives.

Training ground for mountaineers
The adventure park in Issengo/Falzes-Issing/Pfalzen offers various show-jumping courses for young and old at various levels of difficulty and heights. The show-jumping course for children is the first one in South Tyrol.
Adventure day for children from the age 6 to 12: children spend an entire day at the fun park without their parents.
Not only families are welcome in the adventure park - also companies have started to appreciate it. “Hand in hand” is the name of the climbing course for team training. It is suitable for companies, managers, clubs, groups and school classes.
In between the exercises you should not forget to have a short break to have enough strength at the end. That is the great thing about the shadowy Issinger forest - it provides peaceful spots, tree trunks to lean on, soft pieces of moss on which you can lie down. Those who look for refreshment can find it at the Issinger pond, a small bathing lake only two minutes walk from the high rope course.

Light and shadow are side on side: literally and metaphorically spoken: glistening sunlight as well as a long time of shadow and clouds between the high mountains. No surprise then that people are somehow head-strong. People, who have kept a certain original knowledge and live with nature. They live amidst an opulent landscape. Our Creator must have really been inspired when bringing it into being.
The Alps are a place for animals and people to retreat as long as they respect it, cultivate it carefully and leave some preserved space. Therefore, we have three natural preserves: The Natural Park of Fanes-Sennes-Prags with its magical legends, the Natural Park of Rieserferner-Ahrn with ist impressive high mountains and the Natural Park of Puez-Geisler.
